An oil on 8 x 10 RayMar panel. This river is on the road to my favorite place in Texas Hill Country. This spot is on a one lane and very, very bent hairpin curve. I stopped for just a moment on the narrow bridge to get this shot. The bridge has no sides and floods easily. I did this mainly with a palette knife.

Joys of the palette knife

My two week painter's block was finally broken today and I am so excited to have had a palette knife in my hand. I have always been intrigued by watching others use the knife but just couldn't seem to 'get it' until today. A friend, Carol Showalter, sat with me as we painted at our usual Thursday group and the 'light bulb' went on! Wow. Expect to see more. What fun!
This is a 8 x 10 oil on RayMar linen panel.
