Today I spent the day painting with my 'Thursday Group' and then had a professional scan done of this finished painting. Much better than my sorry digital efforts.

A painting a day project....another 8x10. This was actually fun! Imagine that. I am learning that Dick Blick Master Sable brushes are my all time favorite. I have tried several others as recommended by respected artists but keep coming back to them. 

Today I started the painting a day program. The paintings are small and done quickly. The purpose is to strengthen your painting skill by painting often. It also reinforces a strong work ethic. All I have to say about today and this small 8x10 is that it was an humbling experience!.....and I will paint again tomorrow.

Well here is the finished product.....I think. It will go up in the house where I can see it everyday and then I will know. The colors aren't accurate since I shot this on a sunny day.

Almost finished. I need to complete the jacket. I scraped off her hair and need to repaint it using a different mix. So far I am pleased with the progress.
