I worked on this some at the artist retreat in the hill country. About half finished, I think.

Today I spent the day painting with my 'Thursday Group' and then had a professional scan done of this finished painting. Much better than my sorry digital efforts.

11-5-08 First place and then Peoples Choice award this last Saturday.....WooHoo!

The camera work is not the greatest but maybe you get the idea. Of course, I managed to cut the top off her head. :)

She got first place in a competition this last weekend.....and then was awarded Peoples Choice...WoooHoo

Well here is the finished product.....I think. It will go up in the house where I can see it everyday and then I will know. The colors aren't accurate since I shot this on a sunny day.

Almost finished. I need to complete the jacket. I scraped off her hair and need to repaint it using a different mix. So far I am pleased with the progress.

Now if I only knew how to add a picture to the previous post............sounds like a trouble ticket is about to be opened:)

Welcome everyone to my new blog.....ok...my first blog. I would love to read your comments so feel free if you are so moved. 

 

This is the result of about two hours work. I am trying to learn to paint a little faster as well as better. 


Here's hoping I can figure out how to post an image!
