Grandfather's Bell

We took a trip to Oklahoma in June for my husband's high school reunion. He played while I got to roam the Jameson Ranch and paint. Good days for both of us.
This painting is my studio finish of the plein air work that I started there. The son-in-law's grandfather had this bell on his place for years so when the gate to the new outdoor living area was being built it seems logical to use it here. The challenges of painting outside included my paint overheating and sliding around all over the place even though I was standing in the shade!
The shade was why I chose this view. An umbrella for my plein air setup is definitely in my future.
